General information

Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the data protection provisions of the Confederation (Data Protection Act, FADP), every person has the right to the protection of their privacy and protection against the misuse of their personal data. The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

In cooperation with our hosting providers, we make every effort to protect our databases as thoroughly as possible against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or falsification.

Please note that data transmission over the internet (e.g., when communicating via email) can have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

By using this website, you consent to the collection, processing, and use of data as described below. This website can generally be visited without registration. In doing so, data such as pages accessed or names of downloaded files, date, and time are stored on the server for statistical purposes without this data being directly traceable to your person. Personal data, in particular name, address, or email address, is collected on a voluntary basis wherever possible. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.

Processing of personal data

Personal data refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable person. A data subject is a person about whom personal data is processed. Processing encompasses any handling of personal data, regardless of the means and procedures applied, in particular the retention, disclosure, acquisition, deletion, storage, modification, destruction, and use of personal data.

We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection law. Furthermore – to the extent and where the EU GDPR is applicable – we process personal data in connection with Art. 6 para. 1 GDPR on the basis of the following legal grounds:

  • lit. a) Processing of personal data with the consent of the data subject.
  • lit. b) Processing of personal data for the performance of a contract with the data subject and for taking pre-contractual steps.
  • lit. c) Processing of personal data to comply with a legal obligation to which we are subject under any applicable EU law or under the law of any country where the GDPR applies in whole or in part.
  • lit. d) Processing of personal data to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person.
  • lit. f) Processing of personal data to safeguard our legitimate interests or those of third parties, except where such interests are overridden by the fundamental rights, freedoms, and interests of the data subject. Legitimate interests include, in particular, our business interest in being able to provide our website, information security, the enforcement of our own legal claims, and compliance with Swiss law.

We process personal data for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose or purposes. In the case of longer retention obligations due to legal and other duties to which we are subject, we restrict the processing accordingly.

Privacy policy for cookies

This website uses cookies. These are small text files that make it possible to store specific user-related information on the user's terminal device while they are using the website. Cookies make it possible, in particular, to determine the frequency of use and number of users of the pages, to analyze user behavior, and also to make our offering more customer-friendly. Cookies remain stored beyond the end of a browser session and can be retrieved when you visit the site again. If you do not wish this, you should set your internet browser to refuse cookies.

A general objection to the use of cookies employed for online marketing purposes can be declared for a large number of services, especially in the case of tracking, via the US site http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/. Furthermore, the storage of cookies can be prevented by disabling them in your browser settings. Please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use all the features of this website.

Privacy Policy for SSL Encryption

This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as inquiries you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser's address bar changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser's address bar.

When SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Privacy policy for contact form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact data you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

Services to be paid for

To provide paid services, we will ask for additional data, such as payment details, in order to execute your order or booking. We store this data in our systems until the statutory retention periods have expired.

Third party services

This website uses Google Maps to embed maps, Google Invisible reCAPTCHA for protection against bots and spam, and YouTube for embedding videos.

These services provided by the American company Google LLC use cookies, among other things, which results in data being transferred to Google in the USA. We assume that no personal tracking takes place merely through the use of our website within this scope.

Google has committed to ensuring adequate data protection in accordance with the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield frameworks.

Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy.

Use of Google Maps

This website uses the Google Maps API to display geographical information visually. When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes, and uses data about how visitors use the map features. You can find more details about data processing by Google in Google's privacy notices. You can also change your personal privacy settings there in the privacy center.

Detailed instructions on how to manage your own data in connection with Google products can be found here.

Privacy policy for Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. To disable Google Analytics, Google provides a browser plug-in at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Google Analytics uses cookies. These are small text files that make it possible to store specific information related to the user on the user's device. These enable an analysis of the use of our website offerings by Google. The information collected by the cookie about the use of our pages (including your IP address) is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We would like to point out that on this website, Google Analytics has been extended with the code "gat._anonymizeIp();" to ensure the anonymized collection of IP addresses (known as IP masking). If anonymization is active, Google truncates IP addresses within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area, meaning no conclusions can be drawn about your identity. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google complies with the data protection provisions of the "Privacy Shield" agreement and is registered with the "Privacy Shield" program of the US Department of Commerce and uses the collected information to evaluate the use of our websites, to compile reports for us regarding this, and to provide other services related to this to us. You can find out more at https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.

Privacy policy for the use of Google Web Fonts

This website uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer will be used.

You can find more information about Google Web Fonts at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is a solution that allows us to manage website tags via an interface and thus integrate Google Analytics and other Google marketing services into our online offering, for example. The Tag Manager itself, which implements the tags, does not process any personal data of the users. Regarding the processing of users' personal data, please refer to the following information on Google services. Terms of Use: https://www.google.com/intl/en/tagmanager/use-policy.html.

Provision of our services in accordance with the Articles of Association

We process the data of our members, supporters, interested parties, customers, or other persons in accordance with the federal data protection provisions (Data Protection Act, DPA) and the EU GDPR pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, provided we offer them contractual services or act within the scope of existing business relationships, e.g., toward members, or if we ourselves are the recipients of services and grants. Otherwise, we process the data of affected persons pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR based on our legitimate interests, e.g., when dealing with administrative tasks or public relations.

The data processed, the type, scope and purpose of the processing and the necessity of its processing are determined by the underlying contractual relationship. This basically includes the inventory and master data of the persons (e.g., name, address, etc.), as well as the contact data (e.g., e-mail address, phone, etc.), the contract data (e.g., services used, contents and information communicated, names of contact persons) and, if we offer payable services or products, payment data (e.g., bank details, payment history, etc.).

We delete data that is no longer required for achieving our statutory purposes. This is determined in accordance with the respective tasks and contractual relationships. In the case of business processing, we retain data for as long as it may be relevant for business transactions, as well as with regard to any warranty or liability obligations. The necessity of retaining the data is reviewed at irregular intervals. Otherwise, statutory retention obligations apply.

Note concerning data transfers to the USA (United States of America)

For the sake of completeness, we would like to point out that for users based in Switzerland, surveillance measures by US authorities exist which generally allow the storage of all personal data from Switzerland that has been transmitted to the USA.

This happens without differentiation, restriction, or exception based on the pursued objectives and without an objective criterion that makes it possible to restrict access by US authorities to the data and their subsequent use to specific, strictly limited purposes capable of justifying the interference associated with both access to this data and its use. Furthermore, we would like to point out that in the USA, there are no legal remedies available for affected persons from Switzerland that would allow them to obtain access to data concerning them and to obtain its correction or deletion, nor is there effective judicial legal protection against general access rights by US authorities. We explicitly inform the data subject of this legal and factual situation in order for them to make an informed decision regarding consent to the use of their data.

Please note that for users residing in an EU member state, from the perspective of the European Union, the USA does not provide an adequate level of data protection.
